Day 17 - Olympia high school, Justice and Legislative tour, historic walking tour and Sex in the City...

We arrived in Olympia on Sunday afternoon and they arranged a nice Welcome Party for us in the evening. On Monday we started off with visit to Olympia High School. The assistant head master gave us a great tour of the building and we were flies-on-the-wall in many different classes - music, computer science, mechanical, german, biolology and so on. It was fun to talk to the students and some of us went in the hall dreaming of being at the prom.

We were also auditioning for the school television productions... :)

Olympia is the capitol city of Washington state, and we were taken for an extensive tour both in the Temple of Justice (home of State Supreme Court) and in the Legislative building. A highly needed stop at a local coffee shop was done before we walked a historic tour of downtown Olympia to see some of the important sights, buildings and art, and also hear background stories and funny facts about their former use and historical interest. The fully packed program was completed with a relaxing and light chick flick - Sex in the City 2.
